Orange Shirt Day
Please reflect on the following questions in your Sketchbook.
Reflection Questions:
1. What is the origin of Orange Shirt day?
2. What is your immediate reaction to this?
3. What do you take away (learn) from watching this video?
Homework: Please ensure your Sketchbook page is completed for tomorrow! Remember, we are striving for quality of work not quickness!
In Social Studies, we discussed some of the major bodies of water in Canada, including the Hudson Bay, and the Great Lakes. We used a memory strategy (Super Man Helps Every One) to help us remember the Great Lakes... S=Superior, M=Michigan, H= Huron, E = Erie and O = Ontario). This also helps us locate the lakes from west to east.
In Physical Education, we have been learning a variety of different games, including compound games, tag games, and cooperative games. We've been fortunate to have such great weather to allow us for plenty of outdoor time!
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Fish Creek Walking Field Trip tomorrow!!!
*Parents, an email was sent out yesterday in regards to our afternoon field trip to Fish Creek Park for our Wetlands science unit. Students will bring their Fun Lunch with them, as they will have a picnic style lunch on the ridge and then venture into the park to visit the nearby pond in Fish Creek. (If you child did not order Fun Lunch, please ensure they bring a bagged lunch with them.) Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather and brings a water bottle with them.
