Great work today Grade Six! I was really pleased with your first attempt at writing News Article for our PATs!
Our Book Projects are coming along nicely! We decided as a group that all reports and projects are due MAY 8. Presentations are welcome any time before this - whenever you are ready! All other presentations will take place the following week after May 8 (May 11 - 15). We attended a Run For Water Assembly this afternoon. Parents - Please return your Volunteer Tea Forms ASAP!:) A huge thank you to our Parents for SPOILING us this week for Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so lucky! *We will be focusing on preparing for our upcoming Provincial Exam on May 13. This is the written section of our Language Arts. We will be continuing to work on News Article and Narratives. A focus over the course of the next few weeks will also be sentence structure, punctuation and spelling. We took a high frequency quiz today.

We had wonderful week last week out at Ann and Sandy Cross School. This rich experience will be further developed in our classroom as we follow up on many curriculum related concepts, ideas and experiences that we were immersed in last week. It was wonderful having the outdoors as our classroom. Again, a huge thank you to all our parent volunteers for allowing us to participate in this program. Please remember to book your Student-Led Conference if you have not already. Following is the information on conferences: Student Led Conferences are being held on Thursday, April 16 and Friday April 17. Please login to your CBE Account to book your conference time. Choose the April 2015 – Student Led Conferences from the drop down menu. Please note, these are student led conferences and there will be other people in the classroom during your conference time. If you require a private conference, contact your child's teacher directly. Please allow 30 minutes (unscheduled time) before or after your scheduled parent/teacher conference booking to spend time with your child reviewing their classroom work. **PARENTS, We are holding our Grade 6 Celebration of Learning next Thursday evening, April 23!! Please ensure your child is ready for next week's field trip. There is no school Friday or Monday, so they need to come to school ON TIME and PREPARED to attend our week long field trip from Tuesday until Friday. Remember, Friday hours will be regular hours, so we will return by noon this day.
