Parents, thanks for taking the risk with us and drawing your Canada maps! We are pretty impressed! We really appreciate your participation in this activity!
We spent the morning analyzing the use of sensory imagery in three different passages. What we took away from this activity is that word choice (juicy words) and sentence variation impact the quality of our writing. We will continue to work on this. Miss Peters joined us today. She read the class a story on perspective ("We All Saw a Cat") and shared an art lesson emphasizing this. We are always happy to have her with us:) We read "Trapped in Ice" and tried to imagine what supplies would help us survive on the ice once the characters abandon ship. We will be digging deep into the concept of "history." Students completed a pre-assessment sheet on"What is history?" today.
