Please note that tomorrow is "Hats On For Mental Health Day." Students are encouraged to wear their favorite ball cap or hat for the day to support the cause.
We are continuing to work on our revised editions of our "dragon stories" from Cathy Beveridge. Students learned about the first settlements in Canada, and in particular about Samuel de Champlain. Next, we are learning about Etienne Brule and the coureurs des bois/voyageurs. Ask us about Champlain and his alliance with the Hurons (Ouendat). We had two presentations this morning from our students - the Eastern Woodland Hunters and the Plains people. We will continue with presentations throughout the week.
