We watched a video on Rethinking Homelessness. If you can help our class with the following donations for our "Stuff a Cup," please send items in as soon as possible! Thank you!
From Friday's blog...
As a Grade 6 group, following last week's presentation, we have decided to make a difference by "Stuffing a Mug." We will then deliver these mugs to CUPS to help the homeless. For this class service project, we are asking for donations from our families. Please note that there is no expectation to go out and buy these products. We are looking for donations from home or possibly family friends.
Items to Donate:
*socks (new or used, but if used please ensure they are WASHED).
*band-aids
*small toothpaste tubes
*small travel size hand sanitizer
*small travel size toiletries
*individually wrapped granola bars
*TRAVEL COFFEE MUGS. We would like to put some of the above items into the coffee mugs as the way to deliver these items. The coffee mugs can then be used for a nice, warm drink on a cold day (or a cold drink on a warm day eventually...). Once again, if you are able to donate a travel coffee mug from your own collection, that would be great!
Carole Bondaroff was with our class this afternoon as the second part of our Artist in Residency program. She will be working with us on printmaking.
